A memorial service for the Warriors’ fan who passed away following a stampede at the giant National Sports Stadium (NSS) was held today at the Salvation Army Church in Braeside.
It was a sombre atmosphere in Braeside where family and friends attended the funeral church service of Egnah Nyamadzawo who passed away following a stampede in Zimbabwe’s AFCON encounter against Congo Brazzaville at the weekend.
One of the survivors of Sunday’s stampede is a close friend to Egnah, Patience Muza who escaped with injuries to her right arm and fractured leg.
Egnah’s close friend gave a heart rendering account of what had transpired in Sunday’s incident.
Haunted by Sunday’s incident Muza could not help but shed tears as she sought to come to terms with what had transpired.
Egnah is set to be buried in Domboshava on Wednesday (tomorrow).
The 38 year old Warriors fan leaves behind two children, Lenon and Leon and husband Mike Mupinga.
