ZIFA Eastern region division one side Melfort FC has suspended three senior players over disciplinary issues.

Club president, Washington Zhanda said the trio players Leonard Liyayaa defender, goalkeeper Richard Sabineti and striker Lucky Kashirir were suspended last week after reporting late for training.

Zhanda said although the absence of the trio was felt during their 2-all draw against Mwenezana at Surrey Stadium on Saturday discipline is key if the club is to maintain its professionalism.

The club played a two all draw against Mwenezana at home with striker Frank Mkono scoring both goals.

The club is now on 10th position with 12 points from 9 matches.

Mutare based Buffaloes lead the Eastern region log table with 17 points while Mucheke pirates is on 2nd position with the same number of points.
