Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Minister, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere made these remarks at the official launch of the Meikles Limited Staff Share Trust and Youth Revolving Out-growers’ Scheme which will see employees owning 20% of the company.

He underscored the importance of the national empowerment drive, saying it is a broad based programme as evidenced by the gesture taken by Meikles Limited to award its employees shares.

He urged the Meikles employees to improve their work ethics by increasing productivity and challenged them to have a sense of ownership and control.
