Mberengwa East legislator, Cde Marko Raidza says improvement of the road network in the area and retooling of irrigation equipment will be key for the constituency.

The legislator held victory celebrations at Mbuyanehanda where the guest of honor, Midlands Provincial Secretary for Finance, Cde Robson Nyathi, who is also Shurugwi North legislator delivered the Zanu PF party’s thank you message for ensuring they won all the four Mberengwa constituencies resoundingly.

“I came here standing for the Provincial Chair, Cde McKenzie Ncube who had been tasked to thank the people of Mberengwa for voting for the President and Zanu PF in the recently held elections.

Cde Raidza highlighted that top on his priority list will be improvement of the road network in the area and retooling irrigation equipment so as to totally alleviate hunger.

“Our constituency has bad roads and we urge the District Development Fund (DDF) to attend roads especially under Chief Mataruse area,” he said.

The legislator also reiterated the need to complete the surfacing of the road between Buchwa and Beitbridge as it is the shortest route to Zimbabwe’ busy port of entry.
