Masvingo United, popularly known by its fans as Yuna Yuna, has appointed a new head coach to replace the nomadic ‘gaffer’ Shadreck Magura-Save who left the club just after three games into the new season.
Masvingo United has roped in the unheralded former Masvingo City coach, Ezekiel Mutoda, as their new head coach on a three-year contract.
This came out following the resignation of Magura-Save.
The club chairman Hubert Fidze confirmed the new developments.
He said that the new coach is expected to finish in the top four of the ZIFA Eastern Region football league.
“Yes I can confirm that we have roped in a new head coach after the resignation of Magura-Save,” said Fidze.
Fidze is hopeful that football academies and high schools in the province will play a feeder role to the teams in division one and bring back the glow of the ancient city.
