Masvingo has vast business opportunities and the province’s Minister of State, Cde Josiah Hungwe has call on both local and international investors to consider investing in the province.

With the nation on a drive to attract investors, underpinned by the theme, ‘Zimbabwe is Open for Business,’ Masvingo held a business dinner to discuss possible areas of investment in the province.

Addressing the business community, Cde Hungwe urged them to work with government in attracting investment.

“We have lithium and other minerals in Masvingo, let us exploit them. The President has told the world that Zimbabwe is open for business, so it is our responsibility to invite the investors to come to Masvingo,” he said.

One of the areas set to attract investors to the province is the Tokwe Mukosi dam where major tourism and agriculture projects are expected to be carried out.

Captains of industry from the province have been lobbying for the introduction of flights to the province to ensure tourists and investors have easy access to Masvingo.
