Masvingo Province will be hosting a fundraising interactive dinner for the nation rebranding initiative on the 3rd of March with the Minister of State Cde Josiah Hungwe urging people from the province to support the event.
The nation is currently on a rebranding exercise with the major objective being economic growth.
The exercise which is premised on the theme, “Zimbabwe is open for business”, aims at attracting foreign and local investors and is expected to propel the country to become an economic powerhouse in the region and beyond.
For Masvingo, focus is on tourism given that it is home to the Great Zimbabwe ruins, a major tourist attraction.
Cde Hungwe announced the corporate sector, churches, civic society, traditional leaders and Zimbabweans at large will discuss the province’s contribution to the national agenda through hosting a fundraising dinner this Saturday.
The Tokwe-Mukosi dam is also expected to turn around the fortunes of Masvingo Province and the country at large once the implementation of projects centred on the water body begins.
