A funeral mass in honour of Zimbabwe Open University Vice Chancellor Prof Primrose Kurasha has been held at the Cathedral of Faith – Faith Word Ministries in Harare.

Professor Jameson Kurasha, husband to Professor Primrose Kurasha said his wife had the right moral drive and was eager to help others attain higher things in life.

He said it’s sad that she passed away at a time when her greatest wish of establishing a campus was finally coming to life.

Her two daughters Flora and Primrose said their mother moulded them into responsible adults and she taught them humility and love.

Masvingo Minister of State Cde Shuvai Mahofa said Professor Primrose Kurasha uplifted the status of the ZOU to become a formidable institution.

Other speakers who included Minister of State for Liaising on Psychomotor Activities in Education Cde Josiah Hungwe, Chitungwiza Hospital chief executive officer Dr Obediah Moyo among others, all spoke highly about the sacrifices made by Professor Kurasha.

Several cabinet ministers, including the Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Professor Jonathan Moyo, service chiefs, vice chancellors from all the universities in the country, captains of industry among others are attended the funeral service.
