The Mashonaland East Province agricultural show has roared into life with officials optimistic this year’s edition will be bigger and better.

The show comes on the back of a bumper harvest as a result of the Command Agriculture Programme and a good season.

Mashonaland East Agricultural Society General Manager, Tonderai Choga and Provincial Agritex Extension Officer, Leonard Munamati said all is set for the premier agricultural event which they expect to be exciting.

The programme is already in full swing while some exhibitors are finalising their stands.

The official opening is on Friday, while the main entertainment day is on Saturday with the musical show being the main highlight.

The theme for this year’s event is: ‘Agriculture, the Irreplaceable Pillar of Economic Development.’
