The Mashonaland Central District Development Fund (DDF) is embarking on $3 million projects with two bridges under construction and maintenance of 3 000 boreholes.
The visibility of the DDF in Mashonaland Central Province has been outstanding as the organisation is undertaking various developmental projects.
A tour of some of the projects revealed that work is in progress at Karanda bridge which has been budgeted to take just over $300 000 to compete.
Workers are on the ground racing against an August timeframe and DDF provincial coordinator Mr Kenny Mutombo expressed satisfaction with progress of most works.
DDF plays an important role in the development of communities and in the province it oversees 2 400 kilometres of road network while also assisting in the construction of school blocks.
