The government has identified collection points for maize under the Command Agriculture Programme in Marondera District.

Marondera District Agriculture Extension Officer Leonard Munamati told guests at a command agriculture field day at Kudenga farm that the anticipated bumper harvest has resulted in the district making the decision to identify collection points so that farmers won’t have the burden of taking their maize to GMB depots which is costly.

Host farmer is Kuda Kudenga who has 200 hectares of maize.

Mashonaland East Minister of State Retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri and provincial administrator Tavabarira Kutamahufa attended the field day.
