Zimbabwe champions, FC Platinum were drawn to play Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi in this year’s CAF champions league while Triangle FC will face Rukinzo of Burundi in the CAF Confederation Cup.

FC Platinum, who reached the group stages for the first time in the previous edition, will begin their campaign away to Nyasa Big Bullets next month with first leg matches set for 9 to 11 August while the return matches will be played after a fortnight between 23 and 25 August.

The winner between the two sides will then face either Mozambique’s UD Songo or Simba of Tanzania in the first round.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, Triangle who will make their debut on the African safari, were drawn to play Rukinzo of Burundi.

The Taurai Mangwiro-coached sugarcane boys will face the winner between Azam of Tanzania and Ethiopia’s Mekelle in the group stage, if they go past Rukinzo.

CAF released the champion’s league and confederation cup draws for the 2019/20 campaign this Sunday evening.
