FC Platinum head coach, Norman Mapeza says consistency and not falling back on the leading pack are key for the platinum miners’ hopes of retaining the Premier Soccer League title.

FC Platinum edged Herentals 2-1 at Rufaro stadium in Harare yesterday and trail Ngezi Platinum by a point, who themselves moved to 26 points after a 5-nil win over Yadah FC at the Baobab Stadium in Mhondoro.

After the win, Mapeza acknowledged the long way that lies ahead and highlighted the need for his charges to remain among the pace setters.

FC Platinum are the league’s defending champions but however face a stern test in the 2018 season given the consistency being exhibited by log leaders Ngezi Platinum who have dropped only 4 points this season.

Pure platinum play has been equally impressive with 8 wins, 1 loss and a draw
