Top Zimbabwean boxer Charles Manyuchi will be looking to enhance his chances of having a crack at the WBC gold title when he embarks on a defence of his WBC silver welterweight title in Singapore this Saturday.

Manyuchi spent the past few weeks preparing for his Match 25 bout in Zambia before shifting base to Singapore last week.

The Zimbabwean fights Qudratillo Abduqxarov of Uzbekistan in a bout which will see Manyuchi seeking to enhance his chances of getting a crack at the WBC gold by defending his silver welterweight title.

Zimbabwe Boxing Board of Control board member Patrick Mkondiwa says Manyuchi’s Singapore fight will be yet another platform for the Zimbabwean to showcase his skills.

Manyuchi rose to stardom when he won the WBC silver welterweight title after overcoming Dimitry Mikhaylenko of Russia.

The Masvingo product then dazzled local fans after knocking out Colombia’s Agustin Julio Feria at the Harare International Conference Centre in a non-title fight.
