The business community in Manicaland says there is need for sincerity among players if the country is to benefit from the unique advantages that it has to lure investment into the province.
At a time government has stepped up efforts in luring investment, the Manicaland Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Cde Monica Mutsvangwa today met a cross section of entities in a bid to see how best the province can leverage on its unique offerings.
The agreement was that impediments that are making investors hang on to their funds must be done away with as well as ensuring that a fair pricing system prevails.
Cde Mutsvangwa noted that there is need to have greater engagement with the business community so that Manicaland repositions itself as a premier investment destination.
Manicaland Province recently launched a branding campaign with the main aim being to highlight the Eastern Highlands as an investment hub.
The province has seen renewed interest from investors keen to put their money in mining, agriculture, timber as well as tourism among other ventures.
