Bidvest Wits striker Cuthbert Malajila who is back in the country on vacation says inspiring a future generation of players at his academy is a major priority.
He may have grown up in a setting which did not have too many academies but determination did not derail Malajila’s dream of one day becoming a professional footballer.
Having played for top teams such as Dynamos, Mamelodi Sundowns and now Bidvest Wits, Malajila who has an academy called CUMA is focused on ensuring the Kadoma project churns out future stars.
Away from his ambitions of seeing second division side CUMA produce top talent, Malajila reflected on a successful season which saw him bagging a league winners medal at Bidvest Wits.
CUMA Academy is a partnership between Malajila and Kadoma businessman Hubert Manyowa.
Apart from excellence on the field, CUMA Academy also seeks to assist education through sport.
