Zimbabwe’s top model and representative in the Miss World 2011, Malaika Mushandu, who made it to the top 15 in the Miss World competition held in London, is now back home.
Despite failing to take the crown, 19 year old Malaika says she is not disappointed as making it into the top 15 at a pageant of such a level is a big achievement.
The towering model however, encouraged other models in the continent to work hard to meet international standards.
Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Modeling Trust, Miss Kiki Divaris thanked the government for the continued support to the country’s beauty pageant, adding that modeling will go a long way in grooming many women in the country.
Malaika did the country proud in the Miss World 2011 competition held in London and the button stick is now being passed on to Rumbidzayi Mudzengerere, who will be representing Zimbabwe in the Miss Tourism International set for China this December.
