A last gasp equaliser by the Mighty Warriors striker Rutendo Makore was enough for Black Rhinos Queens to maintain their unbeaten run after playing out a 1-all draw against Correctional Queens this afternoon.
Support Training Ground was lit up by a fiercely contested encounter pitting log leaders Black Rhinos Queens who came face-to-face with Correctional Queens.
Despite early dominance by Black Rhinos it was the Correctional Queens that opened the scoring courtesy of Erina Jeke who latched home from a well taken set piece that was aided by a deflection.
Desperate to restore parity Black Rhinos Queens then went on the front foot with Rufaro Machingura heading off just before the break.
Makore had a glorious chance of leveling matters but the bustling forward shot wide.
After the restart Correctional Queens almost doubled their lead when Jeke hit the upright following a well taken set piece.
With action swinging from one end to the other Rufaro Machingura had a big chance but shot over the bar.
With the game headed for a Correctional Queens victory, Makore’s never say die attitude paid dividends after lobbing a drawn out Chido Dzingirai to grab a much needed equaliser as Black Rhinos Queens salvaged a point.
