38 medical doctors and several other health care personnel were this weekend deployed to offer free medical treatment services in Makonde district’s three constituencies namely Makonde, Chinhoyi and Mhangura.

Under the programme, medical care services were offered at eight clinics in Makonde, seven in Mhangura and three in Chinhoyi.

Minister Mupfumura said she funded the programme after realising a lot of patients lost out on medical care due to economic challenges faced over the past 18 years.

One of the doctors who offered services during the outreach programme, Dr Golden Neya said rendering services to communities should be a hallmark for health personnel.

An elated beneficiary of the programme was happy to have received such services.

Services offered during the outreach programme included consultation and drugs dispensing.
