Gokwe Mapfungautsi has received a major boost following the facelift of infrastructure and the addressing of community challenges which have been giving numerous setbacks to people within the constituency.

Zanu PF aspiring candidate for the area, Cde Tawanda Karikoga is refurbishing roads and engaging the local chief and headman in making sure communities will not remain the same.

Speaking during a ceremony to officiate one of the numerous court rooms built at headman Chisina of Chisina village, Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Cde Owen Ncube hailed the support by the aspiring candidate as a milestone achievement towards improving the people’s lives.

He urged local traditional leaders to preach the word of peace as the country heads towards elections.

Cde Karikoga hailed the support and positive response from the locals in the completion of some of the developmental projects.

Gokwe Mapfungautsi constituency is one of the areas which have been lagging behind in terms development.

The constituency has a poor road network, and schools and clinics need urgent attention if people’s livelihoods are to be uplifted.
