augustine chihuri 22-05-11.jpgThe Zimbabwe Republic Police Commissioner General Augustine Chihuri has applauded the corporate world’s support towards the ZRP team scheduled to take part at the SARPCO games slated for the 15th to the 30th of this month in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Excitement is the ideal word that can be used to describe General Chihuri, who could not hide his joy following the unveiling of sponsorship packages for the ZRP’s sports team.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police SARPCO team, which comprises 156 athletes, will compete in various sporting disciplines including soccer, chess, volleyball, athletics and darts.

The SARPCO bi-annual sporting showcase, which was first held in 1999, is an event which brings together teams from various police forces in Southern Africa.

The event which will this year be hosted by the Democratic Republic of Congo runs from the 15th to the 30th of this month.
