A local science laboratory equipment company, W2 Industries, has teamed up with the government to ensure schools have access to quality and affordable science laboratories to increase the uptake of science subjects among Zimbabweans.

The company which donated science laboratory equipment and fittings worth $48 000 to Daramombe High School in Chikomba is the brainchild of Makonese twin brothers Wilbert and Wellington who said it is critical to provide learners with appropriate learning materials at the earliest age possible.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Professor Paul Mavima thanked the company for the donation which he said will enable the learners to be creative, inventive, innovative and enterprising as required by the new curriculum.

The donation comprised of the entire science laboratory equipment, electrical works, gas fittings, water and plumbing equipment as well as lab uniforms for the students and teachers.
