Norton’s Tamiranashe Trust School which used to be a beer hall has received much needed help from well wishers following ZBC’s report on the school’s plight.

Handing over a donation of chairs, desks and books to the school, Dan’s Furniture director, Mr Daniel Makokoro said the company was moved by the plight of children doing school work without basic furniture.

It was all smiles for school founder, Ms Nancy Mbauya who thanked the ZBC News for revealing Tamiranashe’s situation and well wishers for responding to the need.

The school is however yet to be regularised and Norton legislator, Themba Mliswa has promised to engage Norton Town Council to avail designated land for setting up a proper school.

Despite the challenges facing the school its enrolment which stood at 900 primary school pupils in February has risen to 1400 showing the dire need for affordable education in Norton.
