The deputy commissioner of prisons has challenged the Zimbabwe Prison Services to complement other government arms in ensuring that peace and stability prevails in the country.
Speaking at the graduation of 72 senior prison officers in Vumba, Deputy Commissioner Fadzayi Mupure said peace and security will continue to prevail when all arms of government including the ZPS are staffed with committed and loyal officers.
Deputy Commissioner Mupure, who is responsible for human resources, said those dedicated officers will spearhead the safeguarding and protection of national interests.
She challenged the graduands to utilise the gained knowledge to enhance the organisationâ€™s policies and systems to match the ever-changing global trends.
Deputy Commissioner Mupure commended the senior officers for their resilience despite numerous challenges they encountered during the course of their training.
