The Lock brothers were today knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) futures tournament underway at Harare Sports Club.
Second seed Benjamin Lock was eliminated by Germany’s Fredrick Press in straight sets.
Lock lost the first set 7-5 in 1 hour 4 minutes before losing the second set 6-4 to crash out of the ITF futures second leg.
In an interview with ZBC News, Lock expressed disappointment with defeat.
“It’s disappointing to have lost a game I was in control of. I had set point opportunities but could not capitalise on that, so it’s really sad to lose in such a manner,” said Benjamin.
Courtney Lock also failed to progress to the semi-finals after a 6-1, 6-2 defeat to Connor Farren.
