The pledge was made by stakeholders in the agriculture sector and comes at a time the agriculture sector has seen a slight growth on the back of increased output particularly from the tobacco industry.

Several agriculture inputs suppliers at a one day farming implements exhibition held in Harare expressed commitment to the development of the sector by availing vital capital goods and inputs to small holder and commercial farmers at affordable prices.

“We are committed to the realization of increased growth in the sector which is critical in the resurgence of the local economy,”said Mrs. Mbanga

Member of the organizing committee of the exhibition Mrs. Cathy Mbanga said growth in the sector can be realized through a coordinated approach from the concerned stakeholders in the industry.

“We are optimistic the show will go a long way in supporting government efforts in economic empowerment,”Mrs. Mbanga added.

The one day agriculture fair which drew over 20 exhibitors gave farmers an opportunity to interact with suppliers and share knowledge on ways to enhance farming activities.
