A local record label Team Big Family has embarked on a mission to support upcoming artists from the grassroots level in a bid to promote the local arts industry.

Zimbabwe’s arts industry has witnessed a steady growth over the years owing to  the 75 percent local content quota that the government imposed on all broadcasting stations which made it compulsory for Zimbabwean radio stations and televisions to broadcast 75 percent local content.

It is against this backdrop that a local record label Team Big Family has set up centres in the country’s 10 provinces to nurture talent in music, dance, modelling and fashion designing.

Upcoming artists who are working with the promoters said the initiative by Team Big Family has enlightened them as most upcoming artists lack knowledge of the arts industry.

Zimbabwe has many youngsters who are extremely talented but lack information on where to showcase their talent hence the need to support them in becoming future stars.
