A local company has presented President Robert Mugabe with 5 state-of-the-art tents.

The biggest tent, with a front made up of glass, is 12 000 square metres and it is currently sitting on 1.2 hectares of land.

It has a capacity to hold 12 000 people comfortably and can be divided into 4 smaller compartments measuring 3000 square metres each.

It is a steel structure and aluminum alloy and can be used as a permanent structure.

The four small ones can be used for various purposes. Two of them are 250 square metres and the other two are 100 square metres each.

Twenty Zimbabweans including structural engineers, have been trained on how to pitch the tent by engineers from a Chinese company called Guangzhou New Shelter Technology.
