Multi-lingual poet and musician, Thomas Mbewe has embarked on a drive to promote peace and economic development through art.
Mbewe is an artiste with a message and he has penned several poems and songs to promote unity, peace and economic development.
He drew inspiration from the country’s struggle for independence and of late vision 2030.
“The new dispensation of the country inspired me to write messages of development,” said Mbewe.
Building Better Cities and Better Citizens, Long Live Our Freedom, and Vashumba Vahombarume, are some of the poems Mbewe is currently publicising despite financial limitations.
“I want to appeal to the corporate world and to government to assist me in publishing my works,” he added.
Mbewe, who relocated to Mupandira in rural Bindura from Filabusi, entered the arts scene in 2000 with a six track gospel album titled: Another Thought Coming.
