1507: Pastor Chihota who is representing the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe takes to the podium and salutes Amai Mnangagwa’s initiative saying it is a clear testimony of how the First Lady cares for the vulnerable.
1505: The ZCC representative said there’s need for every Zimbabwean to give hope to the underprivileged as he quotes Genesis 12 vs 3 which says, “And i bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee, and in thee shall shall all families of the earth be blessed”.

1458: A Zion Christian Church (ZCC) representative says it important to note that it is everyone’s responsibility to take care of the poor hence the launch of the Angel of Hope Foundation by the First Lady.
1455: Given the centrality of the church to eradicate poverty, Reverend Gwese says he is grateful for such an initiative and pledges his support for the foundation which he described as indeed the fountain of hope for the underprivileged.

0929: People start trooping in at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) for the launch of the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa’s foundation, Angel of Hope in the capital.
- The First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa is today launching her foundation named *Angel of Hope Foundation*.
- The foundation comes on the background of consultative and fact finding missions which she embarked on since November last year.
- The First Lady visited hospitals across the country where she shared the pain and agony of long queues at the country’s public hospitals such as Harare Hospital and Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo.
- She also visited a number of children’s homes including Thembiso Children’s Home in Bulawayo, Harare Children’s Home and Kip Keno Children’s Home in Gwanda.
- Amai Mnangagwa also visited Chikurubi Female Prison.
