Multiple award winning international songstress Lerato Molapo professionally known as Lira is set to illuminate the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) this Thursday (today) night as she graces day.

Lira promised her fans a memorable night as she plans to connect with them on a musical journey that will leave a lasting impression.

The 39 year old South African born Lira’s first live performance was at a tender age of 16 after she won a competition for young singers and song writers.

Her journey has seen her winning international awards and getting lucrative deals such as performing Disney Moana’s How Far Will I Go.

This evening she dates fans at HIFA where she said she will connect with the fans and she intends to ignite the human spirit through music.

HIFA outgoing artistic director Manuel Baggoro said HIFA felt humbled partnering a multi-award winning international artist who has put Africa on the continental map by her prowess.

HIFA is an international arts fiesta where international and local artists showcase their workmanship and skills to the world.

It runs until this Sunday where curtains will close with an act from acclaimed South African band Freshly Ground.
