The church has been urged to play its role of maintaining peace in the country through prayer as well as participating in national developmental programmes.

Vision Protectors International Ministries held a thanksgiving prayer for the nation in Harare to acknowledge the presence of God in the progress that the country has made in its social and economic development programmes.

The Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan Province, Cde Miriam Chikukwa, who was guest of honour at the event, said the church’s role in maintaining peace is very critical.

Founder of Vision Protectors International Ministries, Pastor Runyararo Kadzunge said the prayer for the nation was aimed at thanking God for the peace that has continued to prevail in the country, as well as pray for prosperity of the nation.

Different pastors, bishops and apostles also took turns to preach about the role of Christians in nation building.
