kickboxing.jpgThe Zimbabwean kickboxing team is relishing the prospect of taking on other accomplished kickboxers at the Great North tournament slated for South Africa this weekend.

Two of Zimbabwe’s kickboxers, national champion Brighton Tangata and Tafadzwa Muropa are looking forward to the challenge beckoning down South, which they will use as part of their preparations for bigger forthcoming international tournaments.

“We look forward to bringing gold medals and we will use this opportunity to prepare for the African championships and the world cup,” promised Tanganda.

Muropa said: “We took time to prepare for the tournament so we will win”

The Great North tournament which is open to all kickboxers in the semi, light contact, full contact and K1 styles will be held at the Pretoria showground in South Africa this coming Saturday.

Zimbabwe will be represented at the tournament by Brighton Tangata, Tafadzwa Muropa and Mohammed Omar.
