The visiting Premier Xhosa King Zwelonke Sigcawu has commended President Robert Mugabe for initiating the land reform programme saying it will contribute to economic transformation in the country.
King Zwelonke made the remarks during his second visit to Sojini village in Mbembesi on Friday, where he met with traditional Xhosa leaders and witnessed the circumcision ceremony.
He commended the Xhosa community for sticking to the original tradition that is still being practiced in South Africa.
Umguza legislator Dr. Obert Mpofu said the visit of the king is a creation of history, a learning process for all who wish to uphold their cultural values and called on the Ndebele community to get together and unite so they can also choose their king.
King Lobengula descendant Mr Zwide Khumalo said the visit by the king brings back memories of the origins and history of the two tribes as they have a lot in common.
