Zanu PF National Chairman, Cde Simon Khaya Moyo, says the 1987 Unity Accord is irreversible and that attempts to do so are a commission of political fraud.
Cde Khaya Moyo said this at Nyarugwe farm in Raffingora yesterday, during the burial of the late Zanu PF Mashonaland West Acting Chairman, Cde Robert Sikanyika, who died in a car crash in Chegutu on Sunday.
Cde Khaya Moyo, who spoke on wide ranging issues, said the late Sikanyika together with other provincial chairpersons ensured the party remained in power through hard work.
Cde Sikanyika became actively involved in politics in 1987 as District Youth Chairman.
He rose through the ranks to become a member of the Mashonaland West Provincial Executive, and then a member of the Central Committee.
In 2000 he was elected Secretary of Administration for Mashonaland West, and was acting chairman for the province since February last year.
He leaves behind seven children.
