African airline Kenya Airways has announced that it will start direct flights between Nairobi and Victoria Falls in May as the airline seeks to enhance regional integration and promote tourism.
The introduction of the Nairobi to Victoria Falls flight by Kenya Airways scheduled for the 18th of May is part of the African airline’s route expansion drive.
The new route between Nairobi and Victoria Falls which will operate three times a week will bring to 52 the total destinations that the airline is flying.
Kenya Airways managing director Mbuvi Nguze is excited about the new route and has highlighted that the development is part of the airline’s growth strategy and focus on meeting market expectations. Â
The new route is be operated by Embraer E190 with a configuration of 12 business seats and 84 economy class seats.
Kenya Airways is one of the leading airlines on the continent and carries over three million passengers annually.
The planned introduction of the Nairobi-Victoria Falls flight by Kenya Airways comes at a time Zimbabwean government has commissioned the new look Victoria Falls International Airport and is targeting to lure more airlines into the country’s skies.
