The late Cde David Ishemunyoro Godi Karimanzira has been described as a man who was sensitive to the needs of many in the society especially women who for a long time have been marginalised due to cultural reasons.
ZANU PF Secretary for the Women’s League, Cde Oppah Muchinguri says his death has come as a blow to the Women’s League as they looked up to him as a father figure.
Many words have been used to describe the late Governor and Resident Minister for Harare Metropolitan Province, but for the ZANU PF Women’s League, Cde Karimanzira was a man of a few words who responded swiftly to address people’s needs.
Cde Muchinguri said they are deeply saddened by Cde Karimanzira’s death.
Cde Muchinguri said the Women’s League worked together with Governor Karimanzira in many projects, the most recent one being the green card launch which saw him availing resources on time without any difficulties.
Cde Karimanzira collapsed and died at his home on Wednesday night and was pronounced dead on arrival at West End Hospital. He is expected to be buried at the National Heroes Acre on Sunday.
