Zimbabwe will save close to $120 million in annual revenue from the Kariba South Unit 7 and 8 expansion project with an expected output of 300 megawatts.

The project earmarked for commissioning this week will be critical to normalising power supplies in the country and cut on electricity imports, the bulk of which was coming from Eskom of South Africa.

Minister of Energy and Power Development Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo is optimistic of the positive implications of this initiative to reboot industrial performance in the country.
