Arsenal and Nigeria football legend Nwankwo Kanu today took time to conduct some coaching clinics at Prince Edward School in the capital.

It was excitement for budding footballers from Prince Edward and Churchill High School who had an opportunity of meeting Kanu who took them through some coaching drills.

For some, the highlight was a photo opportunity with the iconic FA Cup but after taking junior players through some drills, Kanu highlighted the significance of the continent focusing on structured junior development programmes.

Churchill Boys High School sports master, Paul Kaunda said moments with Kanu were inspiring for youngsters that attended.

Being one of the few African players to have won the FA Cup, UEFA Cup, a premier soccer league title as well as an Olympic gold medal, Kanu is hoping to have inspired the youngsters on the field.
