Zimbabwe senior netball team, “The Gems”, and Correctional Queens 24 year old goal defender Felistas Kangwa says she is looking forward to the global showpiece-the Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England this July.
The Gems vice captain hopes to seize the opportunity, impress and showcase her skills in Liverpool.

She said she is grateful to the sport of netball because of its ability to bring people together and empower them is the greatest strength.
Kangwa is one of the team’s unsung heroes and standout performers because of her speed, agility and ability to jump when defending but can also play as an attacker.

Her coach at Correctional Queens Clara Gumbo described her as a charismatic, dominant, inspirational, determined and a fighting personality.
Teammate Lorraine “Lolo” Manjoro said Kangwa has great leadership skills and it was no surprise she was appointed the Correctional Queens team captain .
She paid tribute to the technical team for infusing youth and experienced players to ensure there is balance and continuity beyond the World Cup.
