The Zimbabwe is Open for Business and dialogue is in full motion as the Japanese business delegation is in the country to establish businesses locally and strengthen cooperation.

The delegation is comprised of members of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce South Africa and the Japanese External Trade Organisation who are on an investment tour to scout for investment opportunities and ultimately establish businesses locally.

This Monday the delegation co-hosted a seminar with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Enterprise and various business organisations where presentations were made on opportunities in various economic sectors.

Japanese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Toshida Iwado said the motivation behind the delegation’s visit is the willingness to institute economic reforms by the government which improves the operating environment.

One of the delegates, Mr Yashuro Doida of Mitsubishi Corporation in South Africa is excited by investing in Zimbabwe since it is almost the best buy in Africa.

The delegation is in the country up to the 21st of this month and will tour manufacturing plants in and around Harare to get more appreciation of opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, mining and construction.
