winterwheat1.jpgThe Islamic Republic of Iran has pledged to continue capacity building programmes meant to bolster Zimbabwe’s agriculture sector by assisting in the development of indigenous technology.

Iranian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr. Mohammad Pournajaf told ZBC News that the Middle East nation will continue supporting programmes meant to ensure that Zimbabwe’s agriculture achieves self-sustainability through technology transfer.

Meanwhile, Iran commemorates its National Day on April 1 and Ambassador Pournajaf says the celebrations mark a milestone achievement in the country’s struggle for self-determination.

On the 12th of the Iranian month of Farvardin, corresponding with the 1st of April in 1979, Iranian people held a nationwide referendum and selected the unique Islamic Republic system of government which led to the abolition of a monarchy system in that country.
