The Minister of State for Midlands Province, Cde Owen Ncube has called on investors to take advantage of numerous investment opportunities in the province.
He made these remarks at the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) business awards Midlands chapter in Gweru.
It was a night of glitz and glamour in Gweru as several corporates and individuals were recognised for their excellent business performances in the previous year calendar.
The annual event held to celebrate business excellence saw the giant platinum mine, Mimosa scooping the Corporate Social Responsibility and Precious Minerals awards for the umpteenth time, while Bata Shoe Company was the Best Exporter in the manufacturing category.
Kwekwe based dairy company, Dendairy walked away with the Company of the Year Award. ZNCC top awards; Business Man and Women of the Year went to King Solomons Golden Mile Hotel Director, Mr Solomon Matsa and Win Life Group CEO, Mrs Memory Mugadza respectively.
In a speech read on his behalf by his Deputy Director, Mr Charles Mutimbairi, Minister Ncube commended ZNCC for celebrating local businesses and called on potential investors to come and take advantage of abundant business opportunities in the province.
Soon after receiving his award, Mr Matsa expressed joy for being honoured by his own people.
The annual presentation dinner was held at a local hotel in Gweru under the theme: ‘Enterprise Development Corporate Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Growth.
