Arts lovers are in for a special treat at this year’s edition of the Intwasa Festival of the Arts following the partnership entered with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA).
The 13th edition that will include music, dance, theatre, poetry and visual arts is set for the 27th – 30th of September at various venues in the City of Kings.
This year’s edition that will be running under the theme, “Immortalise” is expected to be bigger following the partnership entered between the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality and the ZTA.
Spokesperson for the organisers, Nkululeko Nkala hailed the coming in of the two partners as a step in the right direction towards the development of the arts industry.
Nkala took the opportunity to call upon arts lovers to grace this year’s edition as it carried with it a lot of excitement.
The first day will see the first ever carnival in Bulawayo taking place before the official World Tourism Day proceedings culminating in a World Tourism Day concert set for the Large City Hall car park that is set to be graced by a yet to be finalised foreign artist.
