Visiting ANC Secretary General, Cde Gwede Mantashe says there is need for liberation movements to look ahead and plan the integration of new ideas as economies in their respective countries change from being commodity driven to highly technological.
Cde Mantashe was speaking after paying a courtesy call on Zanu PF National Chairman, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo at his party offices in Harare.
The ANC Secretary General said while liberation movements strive to address challenges created by previous colonial economic and social imbalances, there is need to integrate new ideas brought by technology especially those appealing to young people.
Ambassador Khaya Moyo paid tribute to the ANC which is the oldest liberation movement in Africa saying as the two movements will continue to work together to better the lives of the people that they liberated.
The ANC and Zanu PF share a history dating back to the days of the liberation struggle when the two movements fought to dislodge former colonial masters.
