Property grabbing by relatives of deceased has been highlighted as one of the major problems that affect families.

This came out at the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa’s inheritance programme held at the in Chinhoyi University of Technology, Mashonaland West Province today.

The timely intervention by the First Lady has proved to be key in educating the nation as more people came to seek legal knowledge.

Responding to some of the issues raised by people in Mashonaland West Province, the Master of High Court Mr Eldered Mutasa said there are predators who target widows for the purpose of defrauding them, hence the need to be conversant with the laws.

The First Lady said she is concerned with widows who continue to lose property in inheritance disputes due to lack of knowledge.

Amai Mnangagwa also took the opportunity to advice the gathering on the need to participate in the national clean-up campaign programme, and go for cervical and breast cancer screening.
