The business community is ready to work with the new government in the revival of the economy and looks forward to progressive and competitive policies that attract local and foreign direct investment.

Local businessman, Mr Luxon Zembe said there is an opportunity for a restart as evidenced by the global community, including Britain, pledging to support the new government.

Incoming President, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa is said to be pro-business, an element that will enable firms and the government to focus on addressing currency issues, corruption and lack of fiscal discipline, an industrialist, Mrs Marah Hativagone.

The success of the command agriculture that was spearheaded by Cde Mnangagwa needs to be consolidated for the benefit of productive sectors, added Buy Zimbabwe Chairman, Dr Anxious Masuka.

The incoming authorities are also being expected to work with local industries in reviewing, monitoring and evaluating the impact of the new set of policies to ensure they achieve their intended aims.
