Blue chip counters led ZSE trading on Wednesday despite flat dealings by some resource listed counters.

The industrial index gained a further 1.86 points to settle at 158.31 points, while the mining index was unchanged at 69,21 points.

Heavyweight counters gained ground as BAT went up by 105,00 cents to end at 166.50 cents and SEEDCO put on 2,25 cents to close at 100,00 cents.

Innscor advanced by 2,09 cents to trade at 52,75 cents.

Old Mutual increased by 0,75 cents to 376,00 cents while Econet was 0,70 cents higher at 27,75 cents.

Two counters lost ground as Lafarge dropped 4,50 cents to close at 40,00 cents, while FBC Holdings came off 0,15 cents to trade at 10,60 cents.

In the mining index, Bindura, Falgold, Hwange and RioZim remained unchanged.
