The Indian Embassy in Zimbabwe has hosted the International Yoga Day and a blood donation camp aimed at maintaining healthy lifestyles and boosting the country’s blood bank.
The day was characterised by activities of body postures and exercises as a way of combating certain diseases and conditions that include diabetes.
Speaking at the celebrations, the Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Rungsung Masakui said Yoga provides a holistic approach to the health and wellbeing of any population in the world that practices it.
Participants at the event outlined the advantages of the body postures and exercises.
Meanwhile, as part of the Yoga day celebrations, the Indian Embassy also hosted a blood donation camp aimed at boosting the country’s blood bank.
