The Embassy of India in Zimbabwe will be embarking on a blood donation campaign as part of the International Day of Yoga Festival to be held this Sunday in Harare.
The International Day of Yoga, is a day aimed at maintaining healthy lifestyles through some form of exercise.
Addressing journalists in the capital, Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Rungsung Masakui said as part of the festival, their embassy in conjunction with the National Blood Service Zimbabwe (NBSZ) will be holding a blood donation camp in an effort to boost the country’s blood bank.
Ambassador Masakui also said a lot of activities have been lined up for the International Day of Yoga adding that Yoga has attracted global attention in recent years.
The United Nations proclaimed the 21st of June as International Yoga Day after a draft resolution establishing the day was proposed by India and endorsed by a record of 175 member states.
